Profal Window Systems
Sliding doors and folding door systems
Designed for large glazed surfaces where stability, insulation and long-term operation are essential. The assembly is configured as a single unit: profile, hardware and glazing.
Sliding doors
Sliding doors are ideal for large openings onto terraces or gardens. The panels slide along the tracks of the frame on bottom-mounted mechanisms that carry the full weight of the assembly.
- Openings of up to 10 metres
- Space saving, with no swinging sashes
- Fitted with insulating glass, panels or shutters

Folding doors
Folding doors use a folding-sliding, accordion-type system that gathers the panels to the side, for wide, continuous access.
- Folding to one side or to both sides
- Wide opening, with as few fixed elements as possible
- Suitable for high-traffic spaces or where extended access is needed
Sliding and folding systems are built on our aluminium and PVC joinery profiles and glazing packages.
How wide can a sliding door be?
Our sliding systems cover openings of up to 10 metres.
What is the difference between a sliding door and a folding door?
A sliding door moves its panels along tracks on bottom-mounted mechanisms; a folding door folds its panels like an accordion and gathers them to one or both sides, leaving a wide, continuous opening.
